Progress of Lira PHEOC undertakings
- Conducted bench marking/learning visit to Fort portal RPEOC
- Trained the CHD staff and Districts on IMS & EOC operation with support from RNL
- Received Information, Communication, Technology and Office equipment's and consumables from RNL
- Conducted training of DRRTs and selected RRH staff on Epidemic Management
- Coordinating malaria response in the region
- Oriented DTFs on IMS for malaria response as directed by DG-HS
- Conducting support supervision to enhance disease surveillance in the districts
- Coordinating surveillance activities for VPDs and other epidemic prone disease in the region
- Preparing and sharing weekly Epi-bulletin with regional and national stakeholders
- Supporting mortality surveillance at RRH and sharing at national meeting
- Attending national IMT for Malaria, Covid-19, and other emerging outbreaks in the country
Next steps
- Official Launch of Lira RPEOC by the MoH
- Conducting multi-hazard risk assessment
- Training of districts, health facilities and community on Event based surveillance (EBS) to improve early warning and response (EWAR)
- Finalizing with office equipping with Partner support
